Joanna Scanlon, the director, qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1997. Joanna has been working in South Wales for nearly 20 years. She started her training with one of the largest independent firms in Cardiff. She later moved to Grant Thornton and joined their forensic department before moving to the largest independent firm in Merthyr Tydfil.
Joanna has gained extensive experience dealing with family and owner managed businesses. She has spent years preparing and reviewing accounts and dealing with peoples tax affairs, VAT & payroll together with planning for new businesses and for growth. JLS & Co Accountants Limited started in business back in March 2008 when they bought the practice from Steve Taviner, on his retirement. Since then JLS & Co Accountants Limited have merged with Peter Kitchin from Ystrad Mynach in May 2010. Peter has now retired although he does some ad hoc work for JLS & Co Accountants Limited when requested. All the staff at JLS & Co Accountants Limited are highly motivated and have the ability to connect with people and provide a good service in a timely manner.
JLS Accountants have a growing client base including small businesses in: Newport, Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys.
